Support

Our LP350 system has the same graphite-coated steel slide surfaces as our Heavy Track systems. The underside of the LP350 track sections and slider plates are both coated with dry graphite. The graphite is used for several reasons: first, it provides a 0.15 - 0.20 friction coefficient. The relatively high friction values increase the safety of the move by virtually eliminating any risk of uncontrolled movement or runaway. Secondly, because it is a dry lubricant, any contamination, grit, or other debris that falls on the tracks can simply be brushed off and does not become embedded in the system, preventing damage to the system surfaces and hydraulics. It is also non-hazardous and readily available for periodic maintenance.

Our Low Profile systems (both the XLP150 and LP350) need to be fully supported when loaded. They are intended for usage on flat, well-supported surfaces such as concrete, beams, or timbers. We offer optional engineered Aluminum Beams for enhanced structural support when using Low Profile systems.

Our standard LP350 kit includes track sections, skid shoes, all connecting hardware, and hydraulic push/pull cylinders. The LP systems also include a storage container for greater protection and portability. We can accommodate most requests for additional components or different track lengths, etc.—everything needed to move a load except the hydraulic power unit and hoses, which we offer separately.

Frequently Used Together

Aluminum Beams

Engineered lightweight aluminum beams provide enhanced support and gap-spanning capability for Hydra-Slide XLP150 and LP350 skidding systems.

Conventional Hydraulic Power Units

These single-circuit, cart-mounted power units are suitable for the operation of all Hydra-Slide skidding systems, turntables, and alignment shoes, as well as most double-acting jacking applications.

Ekki Jacking Timbers

Ideally suited for jacking and blocking applications, Ekki hardwood jacking timbers are exceptionally strong and resistant to crushing and bending.

The fact that [Hydra-Slide] are personally invested in the quality of their products and clearly have a passion for what they do is very important. We knew that they would provide the level of customer support that would ensure our success."

Irving Equipment used a Hydra-Slide LP350 skidding system to change out a Yankee dryer at a tissue paper facility in New Brunswick, eastern Canada. The scope of work presented four standout challenges: travel route, second floor location of the dryer, floor strength, and tight confines for blocking up the loads. The dryer was deeply embedded within the plant and required the project team to make three directional changes and three elevation changes to avoid existing infrastructure. The LP350 eliminated the need to remove a roof section and lift out the dryer with a 500-ton capacity class crawler crane, which would have added significant mobilization and crane pad costs. The Hydra-Slide system was compact and easy to use within the tight confines of the plant.
